Why do we forget past lives?

Wouldn't it make more sense if we remembered the lessons from previous lives

and incorporated and built upon our experiences

instead of starting from square one.

Or even if we subconsciously remembered lessons and weren't starting from scratch,

wouldn't it propel us to faster motion into being enlightened in the final stages or whatever

that may be if we just remembered our past lives, looking forward to

hearing your thoughts.

We forget our past lives because we need to start fresh with the life lessons that we have committed
