Hello there and welcome to the Thinking Fellows podcast. My name is Caleb. And today I'm just joined by

my father, Dr. Scott Keith. And today we're doing a special episode. We promised that this episode,

we would do a Q&A episode. And so that's what we're going to do today. But before that, I have some

quick announcements. Next month is going to be the official launch of what we're calling the 1517 podcasting network.

And what that means is that all of the podcasts that 1517 has sponsored over the last couple of years

and helped to launch off the ground are going to come together into sort of one podcasting umbrella, sort of like a

radio station. And what we're going to be able to do is support each other. We're going to be

able to tell you what all those shows are. So we have a sample. We have a new show coming out in

mid-April called Band Books that you're going to want to listen to. It's going to be

Donovan Riley and Christopher Gillespie. And what they're doing is they're going to cover books

that maybe you've been told not to read, maybe that the church through the ages has said don't

read this. Well, the church in the sense of the Roman Catholic Church published a list of

banned books during the Council of Trent.

That's right.

People who have been called Heretics, you know, Martin Luther for instance.

So, you know, it's going to be kind of radical but not too radical, I guess, in that sense.

It's still going to follow in the line of the thinking fellows.

And one of the things that they're going to be able to do is compliment this show very nicely

because we talk about books a lot on this show.

There doesn't go an episode without a handful of book recommendations.

And so one of the things we don't do on the show, however, is go in depth into all of those books.

Occasionally, we can give a short synopsis about those books, or we'll talk about the author. For instance, the C.S. Lewis episode that we did is a good example of this because we've talked
