Today's podcast, I have to dedicate to the person who got me interested in Russian history actually from the beginning my mother who passed away this morning.

She's the side of the family that my Russian side comes from. She was born Allah Demianov, later Allah Shaus. She got married 66 years ago. My father who passed

away earlier this year and he was the one that got me

interested in history in general.

Also today's podcast is a different one from any I've done in the past as it comes entirely from

you the listener. Over the past year and a half in which I've produced the Russian rulers

podcast actually today is exactly one and a half years from when I

started. I've gotten quite a few questions. So today I'm going to answer some of

After issuing of the fundamental laws in 1906, that Sorrow was arguably in a stronger position than he had

been before the Revolution of 1905.

How far do you agree? of I think in the long run it actually weakened him dramatically.

It gave much more fuel to the fire of the opposition because with the October manifesto, he was making this a constitutional monarchy where the people could actually have a say

but the fundamental laws did was yeah you think you have a say but I'll tell you what you're allowed to say is basically

what he told the people.
