Turn with me this morning to a couple of openings, 2 Peter 3, and we'll also go to 2 Timothy 2.

You can find both of those places, if you would, 2 Peter 3, 2 Timothy 2.

In 2 Peter three and 16 he said as also in all his epistles talking about paul

paul's letters speaking in them of these things now now here's the holy spirit through

peter talking about about Paul's letters

that he wrote to the church. He said some of these things in which are some things hard to be

understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable rest as they do also the other scriptures unto their own destruction.

You know, it's not a good idea to wrestle with the scriptures.

Because you're going to wind up losing.

Right?

Can you see that?

They're wrestling with the scriptures and they do it to their own destruction.

You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also being led away with the error of the wicked fall from your own steadfastness.

He's talking about people who were steadfast,

but you get to listen to the wrong things

and listen to people argue and fuss about the scriptures,

you can be removed from being settled.

Now you're wondering about it.

Now you're not sure.

And if you're not sure, you can't have faith.

Faith is like Abraham, fully persuaded.

And you listen to people arguing and fussing and wrestling about this.
