Summary

John Stonestreet and Shane Morris tackle a couple of tough questions today on the BreakPoint Podcast. Responding to our recent commentary on QAnon and conspiracy theories, one reader asks what's the difference between someone like Sophie Scholl, who alerted people to Nazi atrocities, and those who are labeled conspiracy theorists? Don't they both want to expose evil?

The second question: How, if at all, does one's eschatology--view of the end times--affect how we engage culture?

I hope everyone had a great Labor

0:21.5

Day weekend. John, you seem like a likely candidate for that time-honored Labor Day activity,

0:28.0

the final cookout of the summer, right? Oh, yeah, I did cookout. I thought you were saying

We kind of joke about Labor Day being, you know, kind of labor unions and all that sort of stuff.

0:49.0

I don't know.

0:49.5

I actually don't know the history of it.

0:50.7

So you might know more than I do. But what's interesting, and this isn't part of our question, this isn't part of our topic, but I just saw that a group of conservatives

have issued a statement saying, hey, we need to get behind labor unions as a way to secure

1:02.5

economic freedom, which is a very non-Republican thing to do is to support labor union.

1:08.2

So I just saw enough of that to peak everyone's interest,

1:11.0

including my own. I don't even know. I mean, Marco Rubio signed it. Yuval Levin, who's a thinker

1:15.8

that I really respect, signed it. So we'll have to pick that up at some point in the future. The bigger

1:20.6

story on Labor Day, for me, is that on Labor Day, it was 90 degrees here in Colorado Springs,

1:27.3

even at my house, which is a little bit north

1:29.1

of Colorado Springs, a little bit higher, and woke up this morning to snow. So, hey, it's a September

1:34.7

snow, a 60 degree drop. I mean, everyone's seen these headlines after literally, literally we hit record
