Summary

(00:00-25:19) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison reading off Zaire Franklin’s apology on Twitter yesterday. It leads to a conversation about his season and the comment that DeForest Buckner made earlier in the week about certain players not checking their ego at the door.

(25:19-33:16) – Recently there has been some video of Jim Irsay surfacing with his comments after the season finale for the Indianapolis Colts. Jake and Jimmy play a snippet of his postgame speech to the team and then share what they took away from that.

(33:16-42:46) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake answering Jimmy’s question at the end of the previous segment. He speculates that Jim Irsay could be entering a territory where his vision is blurred by just being around the guys and making him remember the glory days.

(42:46-1:05:44) – The Athletic’s James Boyd joins Query & Company to discuss the video surfacing of Jim Irsay’s message to the team after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, assesses if Chris Ballard has been limited by Irsay when it comes to his spending in free agency, doesn’t envision Irsay running things back after next season that if there is no tangible proof that Anthony Richardson is the franchise quarterback, and evaluates if the Colts are risking setting themselves back by running it back another season.

(1:05:44-1:20:06) – Tomorrow night the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the College Football Playoff semifinal. Jake asks Jimmy how he is feeling with the game over 24 hours away and then discuss Ohio State’s recent domination.

(1:20:06-1:26:49) – Hour two of the program concludes with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie which team in college basketball always steamrolls their way through the regular season and conference tournament and then fall off in the NCAA Tournament.

(1:26:49-1:47:21) – Pat Boylan from the Indiana Pacers Radio Network & FanDuel Sports Network joins Jake Query and Jimmy Cook to preview tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls, explains why the Pacers have been able to turn things around on the road since their loss to the Brooklyn Nets in early December, highlights the energy that Thomas Bryant brings as something that has helped the entire team, and credits Andrew Nembhard for the consistency of the team the last two weeks.

(1:47:21-2:03:33) – Peegs.com’s Jeff Rabjohns joins the program with Jake Query and Jimmy Cook to assess what has been going well for the Indiana Hoosiers recently, says that only time will tell when it comes to utilizing one big in lineups because it’ll depend on how long Malik Reneau is out with his knee injury, highlights that Myles Rice could start turning a corner with Mike Woodson only able to play one big, and previews tonight’s game against USC.

(2:03:33-2:08:46) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in studio to preview his show!
