Summary
(00:00-26:38) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake and Jimmy mentioning the note yesterday that the Indianapolis Colts will NOT practice tomorrow. Instead, they will go through a walkthrough in the first practice that Jonathan Taylor can have with the team. They transition to the expectations for the Indiana Pacers
(26:38-39:53) – Jake follows up his tease by revealing which Pacers player he thinks has the ability to be a swiss army knife. Jake and Jimmy also discuss how the starting lineup could look come opening night and what they would do with Buddy Hield.
(39:53-43:43) – Executive producer Todd Meyer returns to studio to continue his attempt in proving Jake wrong about South Detroit.
(43:43-1:13:01) – At the start of the show, Jake and Jimmy revealed that the Colts have canceled their practice for a walkthrough instead tomorrow. They start debating why Shane Steichen wouldn’t announce that yesterday during his media availability instead of after. Additionally, they try to decipher if it has to do with Jonathan Taylor or the health of other players on the roster.
(1:13:01-1:24:32) – Don Fischer makes his weekly stop on Query & Company to recap another loss for the Indiana Hoosiers, reveals why he wasn’t surprised that Tom Allen fired Walt Bell after another porous offensive performance, and tries to decipher if the IU defense is still in the process of gelling together with so many of them coming from the transfer portal.
(1:24:32-1:33:13) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie sharing their experience last night with the Amazon Prime broadcast.
(1:28:05-2:04:00) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder provides context as to why the Colts decided to make tomorrow’s practice a walkthrough instead of a typical Wednesday practice, accesses how the team is utilizing Shaq Leonard right now, what he thought of the performance of the Colts offensive line against the Rams without Ryan Kelly and Bernhard Raimann, if the resiliency of the Colts Sunday has more to do with Shane Steichen or Anthony Richardson, and shares a conversation that he had with Chris Ballard on Monday after the loss against the Rams.
(2:04:00-2:14:55) – As we come back from break, Jake asks Eddie to rehash the news regarding IU and Kentucky beginning a four-game series starting in 2025. Jimmy and Jake share their opinions on Kentucky only coming to Bloomington one time within the four-year contract.
(2:14:55-2:22:15) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing his plays. Plus, JMV weighs in on the South Detroit debate and reveals what’s coming up the next three hours.
