0:32.2	actually going to be mostly me reading from an essay that I wrote and published on New
0:36.0	Discourses a few weeks ago called Queer Education is Child Abuse.
0:41.7	But the question that we have to begin with is the lie that we're going to break apart,
0:46.6	I guess, is is it true that queer education or queer theory is something to do with
0:53.2	LGBTQ people and I didn't say T and I definitely didn't say Q because the Q and LGBTQ is queer.
1:02.0	So queer theory has something to do with the queer part of LGBTQ.
1:07.8	That said, does it have anything to do with gays, lesbians or bisexuals?
1:11.4	Is it really about these homosexual kids and trying to figure out what to do to make
1:16.0	sure that they don't kill themselves or have a rough childhood or whatever else, which
1:20.3	is the excuse that they give for using queer education.
1:23.3	And the answer to that question is no, actually, it does not.
1:25.8	Queer theory has nothing to do whatsoever with LGBTQ anything.
1:31.3	The T, I should say, is informed by the queer theory, but the LGBTQ part has nothing
1:36.0	to do with queer theory at all.
1:37.1	In fact, they're oppositional to one another and this lie needs to be broken because what's
