another weekend, but it is somehow September in the year 2021.

Coming up, we talk to actor Harvey Guillain about his character Guillermo on the FX series,

what we do in the shadows, and how he sees himself as a queer, first-generation American

actor of color.

I have to learn that I didn't sign up to be anything but an entertainer, and by

entertaining people, I can provide an escape and laughter, and that is my contribution.

Plus, Dr. Aaron Jansson of Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago walks us through a

significant recommendation from the American Medical Association to do away with

public gender markers on government-issued birth certificates.

For a subset of people for whom a birth certificate designation does not match

their gender identity, life is made so much easier.
