Hi, I'm Andy Murray and you're listening to the tennis podcast.

0:13.5

Hello and welcome to the final Aagon Championships tennis podcast of this year's tournament

0:18.4

at the Queen's World. Andy Murray caps a brilliant week by winning his record-breaking

0:23.3

fifth at Queen's singles title. Many great players have played here over the years and one

0:28.7

four times so you know to be the first to five is that means a lot. On tonight's podcast you'll

0:34.4

hear from British number one Andy Murray number one coach Ivan Lendel and number one in the

0:39.7

charts Rick Astley. A bit of a worry at the very beginning to be honest but he doesn't like to do it

0:45.6

easy. I'm Catherine Midtichett and for the final time this week I'm joined by Gigi Samman. I'm

0:50.5

also joined I'm delighted to say tonight by the tournament director Steven Farrow Steven how about

0:55.7

that for a final stay you've got to be pleased haven't you? Yeah I mean it's the final that we

0:59.5

dreamed of to be honest and after the week that we've had and so the difficulties we had with the

1:02.6

weather early in the week if I mean to have Murray against Ryan it's in the final for it to go to

1:06.1

three sets it was just brilliant. Talk me through how difficult the week has been weather wise

1:10.5

obviously everything within your control is gone brilliantly but the weather sadly is not within

1:16.3

anyone's control and it has been tough at times hasn't it? I mean as of five o'clock on Cheezo we had

1:20.7

completed one singles match so I think we were starting to get a little bit concerned but then

1:25.7

suddenly the rain went away we had put on a load of matches that night when Cheezo and I bed in a

1:31.2

one on court nine against pair I think eight forty seven or something like that so some of the

1:35.8

players weren't perhaps as happy as they might have been about playing at that time but we got

1:38.9

through a lot of matches and then somehow on Thursday and Friday when the weather forecast looked

1:42.8

like a disaster the Queen's Cup was an island of calm I mean it's just sort of sea of rain and

1:49.1

thunder and we managed to get through the matches and everyone had a great time so we're relieved.
