Oh, hello again. Welcome back to Criminal Broads, the True Crime podcast about wild women on the wrong side of the law.

Where we left off last week, there was, shall we say, a little bit more of the Cleopatra story left to be told, even though she had managed to squeeze so much political conniving and so much blood into so, so few years. So we're back for more of it.

Today we're going to focus on Cleopatra and Mark Antony and let me tell you, I just would like to

take this moment to call out to emphasize the fact that Mark Antony is known, has gone

down through history for wearing his togas a little short to show off his thighs. I just feel like

we don't get a lot of details like that about famous historical men the same way we do about women.

You know, Cleopatra and the whole nude inside a rug thing which i guess i will take this moment to reiterate how silly that is

when you really stop and think about it like how unsexual it is there's just so many you know

she wore this and she didn't even wear that, about like any woman in history. And so I

would just like to appreciate Mark Antony's Toga. I don't know if the rumors started as malicious

ones if people were trying to shame him for showing off his muscular thighs. But I have a soft spot for Mark Antony.

He really was not the genius political mind of either his lover or his boss slash buddy, Julius Caesar.

He just was not this genius political mind. He loved to have fun. He loved

war. I shouldn't laugh at that, but, you know, he did love war. He was passionate about battle.

Almost in the way, like, you feel like he was kind of like a bro. He liked to compete. He liked
