For the past few weeks, tensions between the US and Iran have been heating up.

Last week, the US claimed Iran was threatening US troops overseas

and sent a bunch of ships and planes to the Persian Gulf, right in Iran's backyard.

Today, Saudi Arabia said two of its oil tankers in the Persian Gulf were attacked and damaged.

No one's explicitly blaming Iran yet,

but the US had warned last week that Iran or its proxies might pull something like this.

So today, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo crashed a meeting of EU foreign ministers and Brussels.

He said he needed to talk to them about Iran ASAP.
