Oh yeah, we thought we'd have it all figured out by the time we were in our 30s.

But surprise, we don't.

No, we don't.

And that's okay.

It is okay.

Something we are telling ourselves every day, especially right now during 2020.

Amid this pandemic, not only have we found our lives difficult, but teachers in particular

and parents across America have been doing their best to adapt to the new normal of what

the school year looks like.

We know teachers in particular have found themselves in the center of a debate as they address

concerns about their own health, their students' health, and the demands being placed upon

them doing these new virtual classes.

In this episode, we have a conversation with Ali Kirby, who has been a high school English

teacher for 13 years.

But she feels like this year is her first year all over again.

The stress, anxiety, and uncertainty all wrapped up with an underlying current of excitement

at the same time somehow.

When she's not grading essays and begging her students to turn on their cameras, hello

zoom. She enjoys running, camping with her family, and reading any and all kinds of

books.
