Hello and Happy Holidays! I’ve got great news! 2020 is almost finished and we are going out in style. But really any exit would be enough, wouldn’t it? We have two incredible guests today, again, an old school episode to end the year. Anne Serling is with us. Anne is the daughter of none other than Rod Serling, he the creator of The Twilight Zone, The Night Gallery, screenwriter of requiem For A Heavyweight, Seven Days In May and that ape movie we’ve mentioned. She has two books out now for your holiday reading pleasure. The first is As I Knew Him, a very sweet and insightful story of growing up in the Serling household. It gives great insight to Rod and growing up in late '60s Southern California with a famous father who also happened to be a nice guy and a decent human being. I know! Hard to believe.
The other book is Night Gallery The Art Of Darkness which comes out next month, it is a large format coffee table book with beautiful full color illustrations with those famous paintings from the Night Gallery with essays about each episode. The book was curated by Scott Skelton and Jim Benson. Anne wrote the forward along with Guillermo Del Toro.
My other guest is the very talented and very funny, Grey De Lisle. Grey has been a pal of mine for too long than either one of us cares to discuss. You might not recognize her face, but you’ve heard her voice. In addition to being a very talented singer and comedian, Grey is one of he most successful voice over actresses in show business. She’s Daphne on Scooby Doo, she’s Catwoman, she’s on The Simpsons. Grey’s going to tell is about her storied career, nay marriages and stuff I’m too bashful to mention. All here for your listening pleasure.
And now… it’s on… to our filthy business.
