Hey everybody Rob Maower here and today we're going to be talking about Battery Startup Quantumscape they had an announcement. So we're going to look at that and how they compare to Tesla. We'll also talk about Tesla stock. We have an update from Elon in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. And then we have some news out of China and Berlin. Just a quick reminder, this is the second episode for today.

Earlier today we talked about Tesla's potential $5 billion capital raise,

so make sure you didn't miss that one.

In pre-market trading today when Tesla announced that potential capital raise, the stock did fall pretty sharply,

but has recovered throughout the day, finishing up 1.3% to $647.88,

yet another all-time high close for Tesla.

Also worth noting that the macro environment did improve throughout the day the industries were rising,

the NASDAQ did finish up half a percent.

Taking a quick look at volume, Tesla today actually a little bit higher than what we've been seeing recently.

Still not anything crazy though, 61.8 million shares traded about 94% of the last year average,

but about 12 million shares higher than we've been seeing since the S&P 500

inclusion announcement.

All right, I thought today we would start off talking a little bit about Quantum Scape.

I've gotten quite a few questions on this. Quantum Scape is a battery startup working on solid state batteries, particularly relevant today because earlier today they had an announcement detailing some of their performance characteristics they're seeing in their testing of their solid state cell.

Now we see a lot of claims out there about batteries, about solid state cell. Now we see a lot of claims out there about batteries

about solid state development and oftentimes those end up really not amounting to much

but Quantum Scape is a little bit more interesting they are lending credibility by the fact that J.B.

Stravl co-founder and former chief technology officer of Tesla sits on their board.

And he actually did speak today at the live stream so we'll get to some of his comments later.

And that's not to say that it's just J.B. that's giving that at the live stream so we'll get to some of his comments later.

And that's not to say that it's just JB that's giving them credibility but speaking to our

Tesla audience here and for me personally that is a major factor.
