That guest is our friend ESPN, Seth Wickersham. He's the author of American Kings, a biography of the quarterback. It's out now. And fuck, it's really, really good. I've been talking it up to everybody, which is, you know, it's a strange thing. I don't always do that with the sports books that I read, but it is just weird enough that I feel like.

Nobody does that with sports books.

I know.

Like, who writes a sports book anymore?

But Seth, I got to say before we should probably let you start talking at some point.

One thing that I realized when I was reading it was that I think that it was overdue for a book like this to be written because football is such so central to just

American life, American existence.

Even if you don't like the NFL, you got an identity out not liking it and all that stuff.

And so, you know, I think that and the, you know, there are a lot of good football books.

They're usually about a specific team or, you know, they're usually published for local fans like, oh, that great championship season, like five months after the championship season or whatever. Or it's an expose about, you know, oh, here's what, you know, here's how shitty it is actually in Notre Dame. You don't think it's that. You think it's all nice, but turns out it's all crooked.
