Bob Yari was one of six producers credited in the making of the 2005 film Crash.

Even though it won Best Picture that year, he didn't get an Oscar, because the Academy rules state that only two producers are eligible.

Yari sued, but lost his case last week when the California Appeals Court determined they really didn't have a say in the rules of private organizations.

Nevertheless, the legal train wreck over Crash continues.

Kathy Shulman was one of the producers who did get a statue for Crash,

and she sued Yari, claiming he fired her after she was awarded producer credit,
