Hey there, folks. It is Saturday, February 14th, and we have now seen one of the most shocking, the most stunning collapses in Olympic

history. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and T.J. Roves. It happened on the biggest

stage, and it happened to arguably not just the biggest American, but maybe one of the biggest names overall in the

Olympics, the quad god. The quad god, his actual name, Ilya Malanin, but he was the darling

of this Olympics. There were a couple names and a couple athletes, a handful, who everyone was looking to and at to bring home

gold. The pressure cannot be anything short of almost debilitating. And unfortunately,

that is what it appears happened. Name them. Who are the big names, even if you're not following

the Olympics. Lindsay Vaughn. Chloe Kim, Michaela Schifrin, Quad God. Now, those are the, everybody can name that. There are other big stars I'm not taking away from, but these are the names that you would ever get close to household. In those names, Rose, the Lindsay Vaughn, nobody was expecting her to win gold.

We've known her for a long time, but we were just impressed by what she was doing.

This kid was your Simone Biles.

He steps out there, the expectation is he's going to win.

Exactly.

And, you know, we refer to him as the quad god because it's easy,

and his name might be not a household name yet but the point

was that after this olympics it would be obviously in the figure skating community he is a household

name but for a lot of us who are now just kind of getting up to date on the new u.s.

Olympic athletes who then become household names.

This kid, Iliam Allen, was about to become that person.

He is.

So he was going to be something beyond the quad god.
