Summary

You had questions, we've got way long winded and meandering answers!
Questions we answered:
Matt - For Tom and Thomas (but not Eli, as far as I know), how did you break the news of impending progeny to your elder kids, and how did they & you handle it? Anything you'd change?
TIM - For those with children under 5, will you get them vaccinated asap with the newly approved c19 vax for kids?
Amanda - If you could no longer coparent with your spouse, but instead had to choose one of your co-hosts to raise your children with. Whom(st) do you choose as your new parenting partner?
MutatedWisdom ツ - How willing or unwilling are you to let your kids watch/play things that might be a little too violent or 'mature' for them? And what was the situation with that in your own household growing up?
And then definitely... more... we must have answered like a ton more but they got lost in the mail...

So guys, which question you want to start with? Let's start with this one right here at the top. This question is from Matt. For Tom and Thomas, but not Eli, how did you break the news of impending progeny to your elder kids and how did they and you handle it? Is there anything you would change? I don't remember it being a big deal, honestly. Finn was eight. So he's probably seven, I guess, when the announcement was made. And he was just jazzed about it. Like he was excited about it. He was not, you know, there was no, there was never with him any inkling of like jealousy or, you know, I don't want a brother or anything like that. He was as surprised as I was, I think. But he was, he was fucking jazzed by it. I'm sitting on a bench sharing a beer with his son. I got some news, man. Oh, fuck. Oh, God. Son's like, yeah, that happened to me too, man. But yeah, I don't think, I don't think we made it a big deal. I don't remember it being like a big, heavy conversation or anything. So I didn't like take him out to lunch or anything, you know, and like sit him down and we just told him. He was happy. He was excited. So. Well, this is, uh, I think this is maybe some good parenting advice for all the time, possibly because I think, well, A, it depends a lot on the kid, obviously. That's always the answer.

Depends on the kid. be some good parenting advice for all the time, possibly, because I think, well,

2:17.7

A, it depends a lot on the kid, obviously. That's always the answer. It depends on the kid.

2:21.4

And it depends on the age gap, too. Tom, I know you're working with a much different age gap than I was.

2:26.4

But I think in general, if you can include your kids rather than talk at them, it's always better.

2:33.3

Oh, no. The cops come when you do that.

2:36.6

And for Phoebe, it works perfectly because Phoebe is such a this type of person where we were like,

2:42.8

hey, you're going to have a baby brother. And, you know, we're going to need your help, like

2:46.9

feeding him and, you know, comforting him and doing, you know, and, you know, kids are so
