different? All right. Let's get started. What's up guys? Welcome back to our Q&A mini podcast. We've got

0:31.9

another awesome question for you today. Our question today comes from Marnie. Is that Marnie? How do you say that? Marnie Gensberg?

0:39.8

Yes. Marnie Ginsburg, okay? I hope. I hope so. All right, Marnie Ginsburg writes, how would you

0:44.8

recommend launching a new Facebook page? I'm stocking up with several blog posts as you recommended

0:50.8

on my website. But should I have several Facebook posts before I start promoting the page?

0:57.0

So I think what Marnie is asking here basically is in a other podcast that we had a while back,

1:01.8

we recommended that when you launch your actual website for your product or service or whatever

1:06.6

you're doing, that you go ahead and write 10 blog posts before you ever create the WordPress page. And then once it's live, you just immediately launch all 10 of those. That way, if someone finds your website, they're going to see and they read an article, they're going to have other things to look at and it's not going to look like you just started out. So you kind of see that website that way. A Facebook page, I think, though, works a little bit different. I think you can just go in. You don't have to, like, you know, put 50 posts on there or anything like that and make it look like your Facebook page has been really active for a while. A Facebook page takes a little bit of time to kind of, you know, get your vibe going. You've got to create your cover art and change your picture and do all these things. So I think with a Facebook page, what you should probably do is just start the page. Maybe the first couple days you're going to post a little bit more often. You can go ahead and post some links and things like that. But you don't have to sit there and make it, you know, backdate everything and put 100 posts and, you know, make it look like your Facebook page has existed forever. I would just take a week or so and work on it. And once you feel like you've kind of got it fleshed out and it looks a little polished and you know you've got some activity generated there, maybe share it with your friends, not like actually promoting it with ads at first to get a few likes and get all those things going. You're going to have to do that anyway to get up to a certain amount of likes before you can create an ad. But like get some people on there, get some people talking, get a little engagement and just kind of let it flow. Don't just sit there for an entire day and make it look like, you know, your page has been there for a year when it really hasn't. But one thing you can do now, instead of actually trying to backdate everything,

2:36.4

you can actually schedule post in Facebook now, which is a pretty cool little thing.

2:40.6

So if you go into your page and you go like you're going to post something on it,

2:44.9

there is a button that says post in the bottom right, and there's also a little arrow there.

2:49.5

And if you click on that down arrow it's a

2:51.4

schedule post so what you can do is you can go in and put in post for however many days in the

2:58.1

future and let those auto post and i'm not sure in the past you know when things would auto

3:04.1

post on facebook it would they would beized. But I'm thinking because this is

3:08.0

something that's already in Facebook, that they're probably not. I do this all the time when someone

3:12.9

asked me a question and maybe it's like 11 o'clock at night. I don't think it's really the best time

3:17.3

to post it. I will go in and post the question to everybody who likes my page and I might schedule it
