Hello and welcome to the Tuesday October 2nd 2018 edition of Tesla Daily on

0:11.5

official Tesla Podcast.

My name is Rob Maower.

Today we are talking about the official numbers from Tesla on Q3 production and deliveries.

0:19.2

Tesla stock on the day closed down 3.12% to $301,2, as compared to the NASDAQ down 0.47%.

0:28.0

But pay no attention to those results, the delivery and production numbers announced by Tesla today were very strong.

0:35.2

Deliveries on the quarter came in at 83,500 vehicles in total, including 55,840

0:42.0

model 3, 27,660 model S and X, which broke down to 14,470 model S and 13,190

1:36.9

began production nine months before the Tesla Model 3, had U.S. deliveries under 4,000 vehicles in the quarter, which, by the way, was down 41% year

1:46.9

over year in the United States. GM claims this is due to diversion of inventory to international channels.

1:53.8

But even if they are supply constrained,

1:55.8

the point is that Tesla has done a much better job

1:58.7

of supplying the market with the electric vehicles

2:01.4

that they demand.

2:02.3

We talk about it all the time, but even if someone can manage to even make a vehicle that is competitive

2:07.9
