Hello and welcome to a special audio only podcast. My name is Katie and I'm joined by Tom Bellingham,

the WTF1 founder. Now firstly it is testing week or more specifically,

shakedown week as the new 2022 cars will be taken to the track in a private three day test in Barcelona.

Now although this won't be broadcast, WTF1 will have ears on the ground and be bringing

you podcast articles, videos and content on our social media platforms about everything that's

been going down. Now although Barcelona shakedown is very exciting, I have also been merging out this

weekend because the 2022 sporting regulations were dropped. Now in case you're not familiar with

the sporting regs, it's basically the FIA's big rule book on all things F1 and to talk through

some of these big changes, as I mentioned earlier, is Tom Bellingham. Tom, we've got quite a few

things to get through today. What are your thoughts on some of the changes that have been made?

We won't go into detail and watch ones we're going to talk about yet, but do you think they've been

made for good reason or reactive rule changes? What are your thoughts? Yeah, definitely reactive, but

I think overall it's quite positive and yeah, I'm glad it's pretty much all your birthdays and

Christmas is coming once a SNF having sporting regulations to read through. It's definitely your

jam, but that's great because then you can do what you do best and explain it to us all and then

I can learn from it and then we can do this podcast. Woohoo! Yeah, I am a real nerd when it comes to

the sporting regs. I've already copied and pasted all of the, I think it's 118 page document,

put it into my own little Google doc and I go through each line and I annotate it and make

like article ideas or just like learning what's what. It's very sad, I know, I need to get another hobby,

but I know. I'll buy you like a pretend FAA stewarding suit so you can wear it when you do the

sporting regs and pretend FAA stewarding cosplay if that's the thing. Oh my god, that is a terrifying
