| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody Rob Mauer here, I'm just dropping this quick into the audio podcast feed only |
| 0:11.8 | because I did do a live stream this morning for Tesla's Q2 delivery and production report. |
| 0:17.3 | Sometimes those don't translate over quite as well just to the audio podcast so I thought |
| 0:20.9 | I'd just provide a quick update here, but if you want to watch the live stream and my |
| 0:24.1 | initial reaction to the numbers, I'll put the link for that in the description. |
| 0:27.9 | In case anyone has missed those numbers though Tesla announced production of 206,421 vehicles |
| 0:33.8 | that was 204,081 Model 3 and Model Y and 2340 Model S and X and deliveries 201,250 |
| 0:42.8 | that was 199,360 Model 3 and Model Y and about 1,890 Model S and Model X. |
| 0:49.6 | So as we went through my forecast these are very close both within about a percent and |
| 0:53.6 | the delivery number just above Wall Street consensus that I shared earlier this week, |
| 0:57.8 | that was 200,800 vehicles. |
| 1:00.0 | So my 32nd recap on this definitely happy with those numbers glad to see production |
| 1:03.9 | at that level. |
| 1:05.3 | Tesla building inventory up a little bit this quarter about 5,000 vehicles is not surprising |
| 1:09.5 | I had estimated 6,000 vehicles. |
| 1:11.4 | My guess is those are in process exports from Shanghai. |
| 1:14.7 | Probably the other note where the item in here is Model S and X production so I had forecast |
| 1:18.3 | about 750, obviously this is almost all Model S but Tesla was able to actually produce |
| 1:23.9 | over 2300. |
| 1:25.8 | So that builds well for S and X production in Q3 which is just one of the factors that |
| 1:30.6 | is held back the first half of the year so far. |
| 1:33.5 | So right now analyst consensus is about 850,000 deliveries for the year, Tesla so far has delivered |
