We have a returning guest on Media Roots Radio today.

A guest who has not been on the podcast since 2014, July 20th, 2014.

So it has been six years, actually almost seven years since Colin has been on Media Roots

Radio.

But we had Colin on Media Roots Radio before to discuss his really good and important documentary

film terms and conditions may apply.

Media Roots Radio did an episode about seven years ago as well called Occupy Silicon Valley.

And the purpose of the episode was to chronicle and go through every single horrible thing,

privacy violating thing, creepy thing that Silicon Valley companies like Google,

Apple, and Facebook were doing back in 2014.

Now practically everybody talks about how these Silicon Valley companies are sketchy.

So I had kind of an affinity for Colin, even though I haven't spoken to him for many years. We only

spoke when we did this interview on Meteoroutes Radio. But I had always remembered and had an affinity

for him and his views because he was just so ahead of the curve on this documentary terms and

conditions may apply. Fast forward almost seven years later, I heard of the documentary miniseries Q into the

storm. There was six parts long that had come out already following a barrage of media coverage,

a vice documentary on Q that a lot of people didn't care for, a CNN documentary about Q.

So when I saw the preview for this, I was kind of like, well, what more could this say? Like what, you know, isn't it like a little over by now?

And then randomly, I think I looked it up on Wikipedia or IMDB or something,

and I saw that Colin Hobek was the director.
