She's compiled a whole bunch of questions that you guys have had.

We mentioned that we're going to do this a couple times each season, at least as long as the questions are coming in, we're going to compile them and try to answer them.

This first question actually came across from Instagram and I will just go right into it.

It's on second Fest to five through seven, which I'm going to read first before we get into the question, is do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now

restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. All right. So the question we had was,

if we allow scripture to interpret scripture, how is the restrainer interpreted to be the

Holy Spirit?

That's a great question, and I applaud whoever asked that question, but here's the thing.

A couple of things I think we can say from this.

Number one is there is an exegetical way to answer the question, and there's a theological or illogical

way to answer it as well. And I'll just start with the exegetical. The word that's used for

what restrains him now, the word what is in the neuter, and then it goes on, but it says in

verse 7, he who now restrains, it uses a personal pronoun, the male masculine pronoun there.
