Today’s episode is going to be a little different. I was going to release an interview but due to COVID and other issues I wasn’t able to record the interview. So I decided to release the audio from my first GetVokl stream. This episode is a Q&A with questions that were sent in to me and also questions that were asked live. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little bit more. Ok that’s enough out of me.

| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, as you know, helping victims of crime tell their stories is my passion. |
| 0:04.0 | But even I need a break from crime sometimes. So when I feel like I need a mental health pause, my go-to is the mobile puzzle game Best Fiends. Best Fiends is a puzzle game that you can play right on your phone, and it's super cool because you go through all these levels solving challenging puzzles that actually engage your brain. but it's casual, so anybody can play, and it's really, really fun. |
| 0:22.5 | I just made it to level 68 and only started playing a few days ago. The great thing about it is that it doesn't take up much of your time, but it's great because it fills up those moments where you wish you had something to do instead of just endlessly scrolling through social media all day long. The other day I was waiting for an appointment, and it felt like forever. But having this game to play made the time go so much faster. You don't even need an internet connection to play. So it's cool, especially when you don't have service, but you still want to be entertained. The game is also visually stimulating with its bright colors and cute little bugs, and Best Beans updates the game monthly with new levels and events, so it never gets old. It's a great game to engage your brain with fun puzzles. And did I mention? You get to collect tons of cute characters. Best Feens is a five-star rated mobile puzzle game on the Apple App Store and Google Play. And you can download it for free. That's Friends Without the R. Best Fiends. |
| 1:15.8 | Victimology. The study of the victims of crime and the psychological effects on them. |
| 1:21.5 | Join me, Melissa Lee, a criminal justice student, as we discuss various true crime content and victim stories, oftentimes with their loved ones and advocates. |
| 1:26.4 | My cousin, Christina Nelson, was a victim of the |
| 1:30.5 | Lewis Card Valley serial killer. In my opinion, and this is my opinion, this is probably his |
| 1:36.4 | first victim. So we're looking at 54 years of him being active. I can almost 100% assure you that law enforcement would have put it out there |
| 1:47.0 | already. If they knew who it was and they were able to share it with public, they would tell us. |
| 1:52.1 | There was a story on the news about a woman they had found her body and is her description. |
| 2:01.1 | That doesn't ring true to me, but what I do think here in this specific case, again, |
| 2:08.2 | it goes back to the conversation you and I had earlier. |
| 2:10.5 | It's the minute I walk outside of the prison doors where it like kind of like all hits me. |
| 2:15.4 | Like it really just, what the hell did I just hear? |
| 2:18.8 | Right. |
| 2:19.5 | Happened. |
| 2:20.2 | Right. |
| 2:20.5 | Kind of all, you know, sinks in finally. |
| 2:22.7 | Victimology is available on all podcast platforms. |
