I thought it would be fun and informative to answer some questions from the listeners! I tried to answer every question that came in, forgive me if I didn't get to yours. It took a few days of recording so my voice is all over the place. Thank you Misti for getting the ball rolling on this episode.

First, I want to start out with just explaining the inception of the peripheral.

A few years ago, during Generation Y, I interviewed a woman named Samantha who was married to a man who was involved with drugs and

whatnot. And this led to his murder. And at that point, I started interviewing individuals. The first

interview I did was the guy that got stabbed in Toronto.

And then I did another interview with a lady who was living at home

and her father was an alcoholic and pretty abusive.

And she had to make a very rough decision.

And at that point, it became very obvious to me that I really enjoyed hearing these people's stories.

I think back to when I first started listening to

podcasts and whether it was like interview style podcasts like Joe Rogan or just pure storytelling

podcasts like Snap Judgment. And I just wanted to put that out there. I wanted to create that.

I wanted to somehow capture that.

And then when it came to people's lack of empathy for others,

people's lack of understanding for mental illness or sexual assault,

and just the internet's overall knee-jerk reaction to always be negative and

snarky. I guess this is sort of my punk rock roots as I always want to counter what's

popular and sadly enough what's popular is victim blaming and being negative. So I wanted to go positive. I wanted to raise

awareness. I wanted to educate. I wanted to inform. I wanted to just put out another message.
