The S&P needs Tory governments to push left-of-center voters towards the idea of independence.

Should Labour adopt the following phrase at the next general election, vote SNP, get Tory?

Well, it's a good question because it certainly has been true that the SMP thrives under Tory governments.

The exception, I suppose, to the principle was when, generally,

was when Ruth Davidson now in the Lords,

who was leader of the Scottish Tories in Scotland.

And it looked like there might be a realignment,

but that's not the case anymore.
