One of my favorite passages in all of the Bible is the first verse of chapter 3 of Jonah,

the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time. God didn't give up on him.

And so we've got to work on settling things so we can start fresh.

You can't approach an unforgiving person self-righteously.

It never works.

You can't be unforgiving to unforgiveness

because you won't solve the problem.

You have to come in a forgiving spirit

and saying, God's with us. We can do better. We can start fresh every day.
