Summary

We felt these unprecedented times deserved an unprecedented episode of nomad. So for the first time we recorded a remote episode, with Jemimah beaming in from Cardiff, David from Birmingham, and Tim and Nick from Nottingham.

To help stimulate the conversation, we thought we'd ask the Listener Lounge for questions.

So tune in if you want to know how we’re coping with the pandemic, what signs of hope we’re seeing, whether we still believe in God, what prayer means to us, the most significant thing we’ve learnt from the nomad journey, the most cringe-worthy thing we’ve said during an interview, the funniest things our kids have said recently, and much much more!

The Welcome back to Nomad Podcast. Good news. Jamima's here. Hello. And David's here. Hello. And Nick is quite literally here. Hello. The beloved listener hasn't heard much from us in recent weeks as we put a devotional out and then some contemplations on the main

feed. So to redress that balance, we thought in this episode we'd all get together for potentially

0:59.5

hours. Now, as you know, beloved listener, social distancing is a thing. And we've been told to keep

1:05.8

two metres apart. But David, I think you're still infectious, aren't you, mate?

1:10.7

Well, I've been in isolation for more than a

1:12.8

week now but even so just to err on the side of safety we've kept David 92,376 metres away

1:19.3

and Jemima I'm assuming you're in good health but just to be safe we've kept her 271,9759 meters away

1:27.4

actually worked out next next in rude health, so we've

1:31.4

allowed him to stay in Nottingham. And I think this is definitely the first time we've done a

1:36.5

remote recording, isn't it? Yeah, it is, yeah. Yeah, and it feels really weird because we haven't

1:40.4

even got the webcams on, so we can't see each other, and there's a bit of a delay, and me and Nick have got Echo.

1:45.8

We're battling on, though. I think David sounds a bit nasally. To my mind, sounds good. You sound okay. Although you're stressing out a lot, aren't you?

1:53.8

I'm stressing out. You are a bit nasal. Is that the result of the virus, David?

1:59.9

Maybe. I can't taste things, which is a symptom of the thing, isn't it?

2:07.2

Is it? I'd not heard that.

2:08.6

I was having whiskey over FaceTime with a friend the other night, and I poured some Lefroig and realized that I couldn't taste it. Disaster. Wow.

2:19.9

Wow. Gosh. Did you revere it to water? Yeah, I didn't have any more whiskey. It's too

2:25.9

nice, too nice a stuff to drink and not taste it. Could you still feel the burn, though?

2:31.5

Yeah, you could still kind of, you could still feel the ring kind of thing.

2:35.2

But, yeah, it's a thing. Lack of, lack of taste. We're drifting into what I had planned to be an

2:43.4

alternative to the essential blur, because I thought this episode kind of feels a bit different,
