In today's Q&A episode, I'm answering a question from Joanne. I actually posted in my Facebook

group, the Beginners Garden Shortcut Facebook group, what topics they would love to see on the podcast.

I'm starting to look at different content ideas for the next six months or so, and I just wanted

to get an idea of what topics people are

interested in. If you're a member of the Facebook group and you didn't see the post, head on

over there and just search for Beginners Garden podcast topics, and you should see the thread,

and I would love to hear from you. But one question I thought was very timely this time of

year, so I wanted to go ahead and bring it up here.

And Joanne asked several actually, but the one I'm going to call out here is that she said,

How long do you let your plants produce?

And I think what she is saying is something that I ask myself quite a bit,

and is something that I will address more in detail in some

full-length episodes that are coming up soon in regard to this. I think that a lot of times

we have plants that are producing a little bit and we are not sure if we should pull them or

not or if we should let him keep going.

I know I'm struggling with that right now

as I've got two raised beds of Roma tomato plants

that are not doing great, they haven't done great the whole year.

Gonna have to do something with that soil I know,

but they still have flowers and they still have

a few little green tomatoes.

Should I let them keep hanging on or not?
