I got a question regarding tax loss purposes.

I have brokerage accounts at both Vanguard and Fidelity,

and I was wondering if I went ahead and purchased, say,

as a P-500 at Fidelity, which I do not currently have

in a brokerage account, say 25 grand,

and sold 25 grand in a Vanguard brokerage account and left that money in the settlement account,
