Well, thank you, John, and right back at you.

He continues, I have a vintage rifle question or two. I recently came into a 1950-to-1951 Winchester Model 70 Supergrade in 30-06. It's in fantastic shape, and I do intend to

hunt with it. My question, really thinking out loud here more than anything, is about

ammunition. Should I try something more period correct, like a traditional cup and core bullet,

or should I just go straight to a more modern bullet like a Barnes or Swift or the like?

I'm thinking that I want to shoot 180 grand bullet for an upcoming Nililghai hunt and hopefully a trip to Africa for planes game in the future.

Second question. Do you feel that glass bedding a rifle like this detracts from its collector value very much?
