For this episode, we welcome back Ashleigh to help out with another Q&A session! The episode is mostly focussed on meal plans, daily eating schedules, fasting and related topics with a bit of philosophy, meditation and travel ideas thrown in for good measure. Ashleigh kicks things off by asking Ben about how he prioritizes his to-do list when it seems so long. From there they dive into cooking and specifically how Ben likes to prepare, or not prepare, his intake of vegetables.

0:00.0 | Hey everybody. Welcome back to the muscle intelligence podcast. I'm your host, Ben Pocolsky. Today we have another episode of the Q&A format with Ashley Van Houten. Ash, what's up? |
0:26.1 | Not much. Happy to still be here. We're a couple. We're a couple in. I'm glad that I still have a co-hosting job. |
0:32.0 | I think you're doing amazing. Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm trying my best. I think you're carrying me along really, really well. I'm trying. You're heavy. You're still heavy, but I'm trying. But you're strong. |
0:41.7 | Ash, that's why we love you. I'm working on it. So, I mean, before we get into all the questions I have, |
0:46.8 | it's been about a week since we chatted. What's going on with you? Everything. My life is busy, but I love it. I actually had a really good meditation this morning, |
0:54.5 | an hour long meditation, not intentionally, but ended up being an hour long about my life. And I am |
0:59.3 | very busy. And I just kind of decided in this meditation, I just wouldn't have it any other way. |
1:04.3 | And the only thing that I need to change is my timelines, my expectations of how long things are |
1:09.3 | supposed to take. Because as an entrepreneur and a |
1:11.3 | type A personality, like, yeah, I can have that done today. I'll do it right now. And then you put 30 |
1:15.2 | other things in the background. And then all of a sudden, you've got a list of 40 things to do, |
1:18.8 | which literally I probably have a list of four things to do that I'm staring at about 12 inches |
1:22.3 | away from my left arm. So that's the problem. Right. And I think I love everything I do. There's nothing on that list that I want to cross off, maybe one or two things. |
1:30.1 | I'm like, I probably shouldn't be doing. |
1:31.5 | But to the most part, like I love everything I do. |
1:33.6 | I just need to be more realistic with people and with myself and timelines because I hate |
1:37.8 | letting people down, right? |
1:38.8 | Like if I say I'm going to do something really, really don't ever want to let anybody down. But sometimes, unfortunately, I do because I literally have, you know, and at some point you'll see my to-do lists. It's very long and everything |
1:49.7 | is like, hey, I want it done now. Can you get it done today? And you know, everybody's asking me to do that. |
1:53.7 | And it's a challenge. But yeah, my life is great. I'm writing a lot and, you know, planning a lot and formulating some supplements and I've got a lot of really cool things |
2:02.4 | that I'm working on project wise doing some things in the cannabis space you know building my website |
2:08.0 | so there's a lot of things that I'm managing so like I said I wouldn't have it any other way I just wish |
