Summary

For the first time this season, The Prophecy Pros are joined by Kari Duffy to tackle some more of your biggest questions about Bible prophecy and the end times!

  1. I know that the Bible says there will be a huge falling away in the end times. Were these people ever saved in the first place?
  2. What judgment is Peter referring to in 1 Peter 4, where he talks about suffering for God's glory? I heard a preacher use these verses to support that judgment is about to come over the church and that the church will go through the fire of tribulation.
  3. If America is not mentioned in the end times as being here, was it ever mentioned in the Bible to exist?
  4. When Christians die and go to the intermediate heaven will they be in the New Jerusalem or is the New Jerusalem only later with new heavens and new earth?
  5. Can you please explain why the term "70 Weeks" is used in Daniel and how that is equated to years?
  6. Does Daniel 2:43 describe transhumanism?
  7. Is Genesis 6:9 talking about genetic purity?
  8. What do you think the role of the word of God will be in the millennium and eternity? Will we need it since we'll be with Jesus?
  9. Where in the scriptures does it say that our bodies will disappear at the rapture?
  10. In Revelation 18, it talks about the fall of Babylon. Why is the bridegroom and bride mentioned in verse 23?
  11. Since the Holy Spirit indwelled church is the restraining force in the world today, where do you draw the reasoning in the scriptures that people who become Christians during the tribulation will not be indwelled with the Holy Spirit during that time?

Well, hey, listeners, Todd and Jeff here with our good friend Carrie for another episode of the

0:13.7

Prophecy Prose podcast, and we are thrilled to bring you once again, Carrie Duffy to fire questions

0:19.2

at us. We're going to do a Q&A episode. Carrie, welcome

0:22.0

back. We're glad to have you here again. Thank you so much. I love being here with you guys.

0:26.3

So she's been gathering all the questions that come across online and through other means,

0:30.5

and she's kind of consolidated and prepped them, and she's just going to go dive right in,

0:35.3

and we're going to start answering some of your questions.

0:43.3

Yes. All right. Here we go. The first question. I know that the Bible says there will be a huge falling away in the end times. Were these people ever saved in the first place? I know some

0:50.0

that are saved will backslide, but I don't understand the position of the masses that fall away.

0:56.0

Are these people still saved if they were once saved?

1:00.0

Well, that's a great question. And thank you. Whoever wrote that in, that's a really perceptive

1:04.8

question to ask. I think we have to make a distinction between just Christians who may be, like you said, backsliding

1:14.0

and those who actually go away from the faith. There's a difference between someone struggling

1:19.8

with sin or falling into sin, which all Christians do to some degree. First Corinthians chapter

1:24.9

three says, you're acting like mere men. He treats them like Christians,

1:29.0

but he tells them they're acting like not Christians. So we do backslide. But you contrast that

1:34.7

with the great falling away of 2nd Thessalonians chapter 3. And also when Paul talks about in

1:41.8

Timothy about paying attention to doctrines of demons and falling away from

1:47.3

the faith. And then 1 John 2, around beating verse 18, he begins to talk about in the last days

1:52.9

that there will be those who went out from among us. He said, but they proved by leaving us that they

1:59.6

were really not of us. So essentially what that

2:03.8

leaving, and I think it really refers to primarily to doctrinally leaving the faith and abandoning
