Before we get into this week's episode, I want to talk a moment about this program.

I have been doing explorers for about a year and a half, and I enjoy being able to produce this show.

I love history, and I'm having a great time sharing these wonderful stories with you.

I also want to say that this is a self-funded project. I pay for everything, hosting, domain

name, equipment, software, research books, and anything else that I need.

That said, you have probably noticed that there have been a few changes of late, specifically

surrounding advertising.

I was recently given the opportunity to include ads on the

podcast by being part of the Recorded History Podcast network. Now my listener base

is not large so I'm not talking about a lot of money here, but I am talking about the idea that I can, maybe, pay

for my expenses. Beyond that, we shall see.

So going forward, you will be hearing ads on the podcast. I know that it can be a bit

intrusive but the upside is I hope it helps us produce more episodes of explorers.

So if things go well it's a win-win. Also, in the next month or so, I will be announcing some changes to the program,

primarily dealing with the website and social media accounts.

So you can watch or listen for those announcements in the near future.

But please know that the content and presentation of the show will not change.
