Full on winter, the winter of our discontent, mid-February, here in the beginning of the

end of the COVID pandemic, Rebecca Rebecca do you feel it coming a little I do

have been vaccinated for me that's one of the huge hurdles so I'm feeling optimistic

today I do I was Amanda and I have been talking about optimistic today on February 12th.

Amanda and I have been talking about how a thing

that has become a ritual for both of us

is a daily check of the map on the home page of the New York Times app that shows what percentage of the

population has had one shot and what percentage is fully vaccinated and seeing it

tick over 10% this week felt very significant. We hit 10% in Virginia I think on Monday of

this week and the country crossed over 10% has had at least one shot yesterday

on Thursday.

Super exciting to see that.
