However, folks, let's get back to the crime scene.

This case is going to be solved through, of course, through science and, of course, the

art of investigation.

But the most important evidence to this case will be scientific evidence.

And scientific evidence in the way of DNA, DNA, mitochondrial DNA.

You hear terms like RFLP, restriction fragment-lath polymorphism, you hear terms like PCR, polymerase

chain reaction, you hear terms like STR, short tandem repeats. And it just shows that the technology

has advanced so much that they're able to identify

pieces, small little hairs that have been around for 10 or 12 years.

And some may have been a bit degraded, but yet they were able to extract enough DNA

out of the mitochondrial hair follicle.

In one instance, one single hair to identify recuum.

And we talk about going back to his modus operandi,

and we talk about the signature, his signature,
