Vladimir Putin arrived in North Korea for his first visit since 2000.

The Russian president has pledged to work with the hermit kingdom to build

quote alternative mechanisms of trade that are not controlled by the West. In return Mr Putin will expect Kim Jong-un, its dictator, to continue supplying weapons for Russia's war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, South Korea's army said it fired warning shots in response to

North Korean soldiers crossing the military demarcation line which divides

the Korean peninsula.

NVIDIA, the leading supplier of AI chips,

became the world's most valuable public company,

surpassing Microsoft and Apple after months of jostling for the crown.

Since the start of this year, the chipmakers market capitalisation has roughly tripled

to 3.3 trillion dollars and its shares are up by more than 170%.

The firm has benefited from growing demand for AI technology.

President Joe Biden announced a path to legal residency and eventual citizenship for the hundreds of thousands of migrants who arrived in America illegally but are married to American citizens.
