So when you liberate a war-torn city, you are freeing it from its oppressors.

That is not what Vladimir Putin has done to the southeastern city of Marriapol, as he

twistedly, outrageously, is claiming tonight.

Not only are his forces still surrounding, entraping hundreds of Ukrainian civilians and

soldiers who have been sheltering in a steel plant, he has now ordered his forces to blockade

the area so tight so as not to let even a fly get through.

Pay attention to the way he uses that word fly.

He's done it before.

Dismissing his opponents has insects to be swatted away or worse.

In fact, his Russian forces are slaughtering people.

It's not liberating them.

There was brand new evidence tonight of more potential Russian war crimes, new satellite

images from just outside Marriapol in a village about 12 miles away called Manush.

They appear to show more than 200 new graves, rows and rows, in fact, of mass graves.

One Ukrainian official in Marriapol says that Russians are driving truckloads.

Truckloads, of course, of corpses to the site and dumping them.

This official calls this, quote, direct evidence of war crimes as well as attempts to cover

them up.

President Zelensky says tonight that Marriapol continues to resist Russia despite everything

the occupiers say.
