Summary

This episode is all about self-care. You can't show up fully for another person if you're not showing up fully for yourself. It's a bit of cliche, but it's true. In this episode, we go into the details about WHY it's true.

First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. Yes. So the other day on Instagram I posted something that said,

0:46.0

1:37.0

So I just want to dive into a couple of the nuances here to take this from a nice quote to something that you can actually

1:47.4

perceive the real relevance and the need for this and truly showing up for others because I think sometimes we hear this and go,

1:55.2

ah yeah, that's nice, yeah that's true. But you know what, I get energy by focusing on other people or you know I can kind of make it through I've pushed

2:06.6

long and hard without really focusing on myself and I've been quite successful and you know there are

2:12.4

always going to be examples of that but I stand by fully that you're not going to show up at your best in work, in family, in pursuing your dreams, if you're not attending to yourself on a very fundamental

2:28.9

level.

2:29.9

And what I mean by attending to yourself is this capacity to attune to your

mind and mind and body, notice what you're thinking about, what's going on in your mind,
