The nomination withdrawal that could provide a clue to concerns Republicans might have ahead of the midterm elections,

President Trump choosing to have his choice for U.N. ambassador, Elise Stefonic, currently representing an upstate New York district in Congress to stay in the lower house and make sure Republicans keep control of it.

All right, Foxx, Sharon Crowley here to break down the latest developments. A lot of movement on this story today.

Representative Stefonic spoke exclusively to Fox News. You will hear

how she feels about President Trump pulling her nomination to be UN ambassador. The president says

he did it because, quote, it's essential that we maintain every Republican seat in Congress.

Stefanik went further, accusing Governor Hochokel of threatening to deliberately keep her seat

open as long as possible delaying a special election if Stefana took the UN job.

Kathy Hockel started threatening to move the ball on the election date.

You see a highly, highly politicized radical left trying to do everything they can to defeat

the president.

And this is about stepping up as a team. And I am doing that as a leader.

Well, Republicans hold a very slim majority in the House.

The all-important budget bill vote is on the line. It's central to Trump's agenda.

Democrats are eager to block it.
