that I didn't necessarily believe the gospel because I actually believed it.

Sebastian Traeger is the executive vice president and chief operating officer at the

International Mission Board.

And so I started reading and thinking by God's grace.

Because I kind of consider myself a Christian, I end up going on a Campus Crusade Beach

Project crew.

And during that time, during that summer, a roommate of mine said, hey, I notice you never, you never read your Bible in the morning.

Is that something you think is important? And I said, well, it is, but I'm not a morning

person. And so it's really hard for me to get up. He said, well, I'll tell you what, I'll make you a deal.

If you pray the night before you go to sleep that the spirit will help you wake up, then I'll physically help you wake up. And I thought, well, that's kind of a hard deal to pass up. So really over the course of the next six weeks, I read the Bible, pretty much

the majority of the Bible over a very short amount of time. Also, I was working on a golf course,

and so I listened to sermon tapes nonstop during the day because I was just mowing lawn. And so over the course
