While everybody is standing as we read our scriptural verse today, our text in 2 Timothy

chapter 1 in verse 9 and 10 today, notice there these words, God is the one who saved and

called us with a holy calling. This wasn't based on what we have done,

but it was based on his own purpose and grace

that he gave us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Now his grace is revealed through the appearance of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He destroyed death and brought life

and immortality into clear focus through the good news. And we're talking today from the subject,

purpose, the birth of meaning. The birth of meaning. You may be seated.

Thank you. birth of meaning, the birth of meaning. You may be seated. May I just remind you here that the call of God is not earned, it's given. You don't do anything to earn God. You don't do anything to earn God's call in your life. I am sometimes absolutely

amazed at the number of people that seem to live life, meandering through life and never

discover their God called purpose.

Wondering, why on earth am I here?

It's been said that the two most important days in a person's life

is the day that a person is born and then the day that they realize why they were born.

And I don't know whether you're aware of this or not,

but globally, nearly 800,000 people a year commit suicide.

And those are the ones that are successful in it.

There are about 1.2 million on the average of people that attempted every year globally.

That's a lot of people.

And if you realize why you're here, why you're here, there's a reason to be able to get up

on Monday mornings.

You will be surprised how many people dread Monday mornings.
