So I grew up listening to your music. How the heck does one start nirvana with Kurt Cobain and David Grohl? How the hell I forget David girl's first name? He's the Foo Fighters founder, I guess.

1985 and 1984 and we lived in this town on the Washington Coast, Aberdeen. We had a hunger for new music, independent

music, punk rock music, the music on the television and the radio and the magazines,

mainstream magazines weren't speaking to us. So we just met like-minded other

young people and people with shared needs and values and there was a system, a scene, a music scene already with people just making their own way and not relying on the corporate narrative, corporate narrative of what good music is or what popular music is and we made our own way and we made our own shows we made our own music we made our own music we made our own bandzines our own records, cassettes it was completely independent.
