This has got to be the quote of the year.

Congresswoman Lauren Bobert from Colorado was talking about Eric Swalwell and also Tony Gonzalez,

two former members who resigned their seats because of

accusations of sexual assault. And she's going on about how terrible this is, understandably.

And what advice would you give them? Yeah, go to church, find Jesus. Like, I mean, why is everybody so

horny here? Okay, I'm going to pause a beat for a fact and then say, I'll be generous. Maybe she's

an imperfect messenger on this particular subject. Because about two and a half years ago, she apologized after she was kicked out of a

theater in Denver. The movie was Beetlejuice in case you were wondering for causing a disturbance

and there was footage, I guess, cell phone, whatever, showing that she and her date were groping

each other.

She said at that time, the past few days have been difficult and humiliating.

I'm truly sorry for the unwanted attention.

It's just not the kind of thing that's usually said in Washington.

Usually it's put in more decorous terms.

Well, I guess this is sort of the embarrassment portion of the podcast as we head into the weekend.

Because here we have the disclosure that Gavin Newsom's PAC,

and a lot of people consider the California governor

to be, you know, at this early stage, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination in

2008, spent over half a million bucks buying thousands of copies of his book. So the Newsom pack, let's see here, actually spent $1.5 million to purchase and deliver
