0:16.3	It's been a remarkable couple of weeks for the island.
0:19.0	Protesters took over the streets demanding the resignation of Governor Ricardo Rosello.
0:23.9	You've been down there since shortly after the protests started.
0:27.0	Can you give us a little recap of the past few weeks?
0:30.0	Yeah, that's right. It's been an astonishing story to cover.
0:33.2	These protests started about three weeks ago,
0:35.4	after the publication of leaked private text messages between the governor and his top advisors.
0:41.2	These messages were really offensive for Puerto Ricans.
0:43.9	They were misogynistic. They were homophobic.
0:46.3	They showed how the governor scheme to manipulate public opinion.
0:49.7	And that's just the beginning.
0:51.5	And during my time here, I watched what started as small protests
0:55.4	explode into this massive movement, drawing in hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans demanding

1:08.5	And then last Wednesday, things reached the climax.
