The wind is in our sales, ladies and gentlemen.

The streets are getting busy, and the trains are filling up.

The pubs and restaurants are being booked by the millions, and there is. The streets are getting bus and

restaurants being booked by the millions and there is a definite sense of normality in the air. Even

masks are beginning to come off in more and more locations that I visit. Yesterday I watched

as dozens of people waited patiently to get their cars clean, observed shoe shops filling up

with customers who were trying on shoes and even spotted traffic jams

all over town. The economy, ladies and gentlemen, is definitely on the rebound this morning.

I'll be bringing new figures of just how much the economy has bounced back this week,

and it's pretty impressive. Sales of pints alone, right? This was on Monday. We're up

340% on Monday from the same day two years ago, that's in 2019.

340% more than 3.5 times as many pints of beer were sold this Monday than two years ago.

Look around though, and there's an interesting mood in the air,

something else that I have conducted over the course of the last few days.

This morning, the sun's got a video of women fighting on a plane over some overhead luggage space.

And this morning on the tube, there's a definite air of what I would describe as edginess.

Some wearing masks, some not. Everyone looking a little bit lairy.
