Welcome to our daily Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Maybe you know that the word martyr means witness.

The idea is that when someone is willing to give their lives for a truth, it really witnesses to their conviction.

But it also works the other way. The reason people were martyred in the first place is that they wouldn't stop

witnessing to the truth, even when people told them to shut up.

The apostles didn't start out being murdered. The Jewish authorities began by The said, you be the judge of whether it's better for us to obey God or men.

Now there are a lot of people who would be much more comfortable

if we would not proclaim the Church's teaching on faith and morals. If we'd just be quiet about the church's teaching on faith and morals.

If we'd just be quiet about the fact that Jesus is the only way to heaven,

that the Catholic Church is the one true church or that marriage is between one man and one woman till death do them part.

So we face the same question that the Apostles and the early Martyrs faced. Should we make other

people more comfortable by staying quiet or should we obey God by spreading the

truth? obey God by spreading the truth.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallow it would be your name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses.

As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us

from evil evil Amen.
