Now, on to our readings.

Timothy chapter 4 verse 13 devote yourself to the public reading of scripture.

They did not have printing presses back in the days of the

first century, so they would rely on readers and assemblies. People would come

together and they would listen, especially the epistles when they were circulating around

the Bible world. They would be read in a public situation and the people would just listen to the

entire epistle.
